Your membership helps us bring Canadian books and young readers together and supports our programs and publications.

Individual Members of the Canadian Children’s Book Centre enjoy a one-year subscription to our triannual magazine Canadian Children’s Book News and Best Books for Kids & Teens, our semi-annual selection guide to the best new Canadian children’s books, magazines, audio and video. Members also receive an invitation to our Annual General Meeting each June and invitations to select special events hosted by the CCBC. Membership is $75.00 for individuals, $45.00 for Seniors (65+), and $45.00 for students.

The CCBC defines a Professional Creator as a published author or illustrator, or a professional storyteller. The CCBC will verify the applicant’s publication history or credentials. Professional Creator members enjoy a one-year subscription to our triannual magazine Canadian Children’s Book News and Best Books for Kids & Teens, our semi-annual selection guide to the best new Canadian children’s books, magazines, audio and video. Members also receive an invitation to our Annual General Meeting each June and invitations to select special events hosted by the CCBC. Professional Creator memberships can be purchased for $50. 

Associate Memberships can be purchased for $150. With an Associate Membership, individual schools, small and medium libraries, and single-location bookstores enjoy a 10-copy subscription to Canadian Children’s Book News and Best Books for Kids & Teens. Members also receive an invitation to our Annual General Meeting each June and invitations to select special events hosted by the CCBC.

Corporate Memberships can be purchased for $500. With a Corporate Membership, school boards, large libraries, multiple-location bookstores, publishers and wholesalers enjoy a 15-copy subscription to Canadian Children’s Book News and Best Books for Kids & Teens, and a 20% discount on advertising in our publications. Members also receive an invitation to our Annual General Meeting each June and invitations to select special events hosted by the CCBC.
